welcome to my world.

hello bitties! i have decided to join the 21st century and get a blog--but not just any blog--this is my blog and i will do as i see fit with it. translation: i'm going to post about the things that matter to me and subsequently, seem to matter to those who absolutely adore me. there will be lots of fashion (high and low), pop culture musings, music snobbery, and feminism--because that's who i am. [me being a graduate student at sarah lawrence college in women's history, studying historical fashion (especially Dior after WWII)]! i am also a known fashion-addict (i ran an amazing store for two years in chicago's wicker park) and girl-let-loose in new york city (i have the stories and pictures to prove it, i promise). i believe that too much of a good thing can be wonderful (more mae west to come!) and live, love, and dress accordingly. or, as sandra cisneros would say:
